HUHHH! has released Millennial Therapy, a five-track EP on foreign body that offers comfort and hope to millennials living through an uncertain era. At its centre is the belief that even when circumstances feel bleak, hope can still break through the clouds. Rather than promise an easy answer, the record creates space to pause and feel less alone.
In the early 2020s, people his age in South Korea were often described as the “N-po generation,” a cohort expected to abandon dreams and milestones after confronting a world unlike their parents’ own. HUHHH! wanted to turn that shared anxiety into a message for friends facing the same reality.
The EP began during the pandemic in HUHHH!’s studio apartment in Seokgwan-dong. With outside activity halted and his closest musical friends far away, he lived entirely alone for the first time. An afternoon drip coffee became one of the few moments spent in sunlight. The period showed him that he needed connection with other people.
That realization became a wish for the music to offer therapy from a distance. Across “Millennial soul,” “Blindness,” “Can we take a break,” “Blame” and “A way out,” the EP acknowledges loneliness and uncertainty while looking beyond them toward connection and hope. It begins with one person’s isolation and opens outward to anyone moving through the same era.
Released roughly five years after its completion, Millennial Therapy brings a private memory into the present as a message for today’s millennial generation: even when the moment feels heavy, recognizing one another can make it possible to move forward again.
