Production duo rom&BAAWLA will release their debut EP, All The People, on 1 October. A joint release from foreign body and Japanese label SPRAYBOX, the five-track record brings together the previously released “Push The Button” and “I'm Like” with three new tracks. “PEOPLE (Stomping)” is the title track.
The EP grew out of a trip across Europe with the foreign body team in June. What stayed with the duo was less the cities' landmarks than the conversations on the road, the time spent outside clubs and the people they met through music. The spirit of the Think Break and Amen Break they encountered along the way also found its way into the record. All The People takes its name from those shared experiences.
Hashtagpope appears on “More Intro”, while “I'm Like” was made with c8o and Sillage. Breakbeats and bass run through the EP, with each track taking on a different shape. The two advance singles and three new cuts bring together the musical ideas rom&BAAWLA carried home from the trip.
For rom&BAAWLA, this is less a record about the two of them alone than one shaped by everyone who shared music and time with them. All The People turns those memories back into music for the club.
